No full version of this system appears to exist - that which is shown is
the last portion of the selection process.

The 'Eights' may refer to the multiples in betting involving the factor 8,
think 11/8, 5/4 =10/8, 8/8 = 1/1 etc. and was to do with the backing of
selections and was capped, stopped, at 160/8 which is ../1? This is one of
the interests of systems, the learning of something new, sensible or
non-sensical.

The selection process.
(a) determine the last start finish position of the runner - past 9 use 9
(a)
(b) determine the days since last start of the runner - past 42 use 42 (b)
(c) determine the minimum weight to be carried(c)

Method: (a) * (b)

Sub-total

Divide by (c)

Rank the results - smallest is best, and the product can be small (.0001>
1.00)
This system failed to enthuse, the winners found paid well but they were
isolated, 2-3 a day over 10 races say.

The mechanics of the thing should let it work, last start finish position
(tick), days since last run (tick), divide by minimum weight, the weight
they all have to carry, unsure.

Last start finish position alone provides its share of winners, days since
last start likewise, and maximum values for both should show a profit but
don't.

Another way, perhaps not

Cheers

Tony
