[AusRace] Acton's Best - a system/scam

Damion Taylour isn't who he says. He is not a Spencer-Churchill, not
belatedly related to the Mountbattens, not a Marquess, Baron, or a person
'of that ilk'. He is not Damion Taylour either, as determined by a Court,
does not own a sugar refinery as determined by a different Court, he did owe
money everywhere. This fellow has the perfect dna for a horse race system
seller, you'd think.

What Damion wanted was things the same, last races to this race. If your
runner had the same jockey, about the same distance, same trainer, owners,
weight, about everything associated with its previous then it was a
selection in the present race. There were variations, the jockey had to be
the same though, definitely, but the distance could decrease or increase
marginally, the weight could change too, the location of course, its
opposition, but if most things stayed it was in, so to speak.

With Damion you had to have a telex, a rarity in a home then I imagine. We
didn't have one, we didn't have tv until I was 17, we had a slow combustion
stove and the hot water went through that.

Megsie at the stock and station agents had a telex, and had the office to
herself on Friday afternoons because the Boss left early to return to
Jingellic and the stockies were in the pub always, not only Friday. It was
Megsie who told me about Damion, and his telex requirement, because Sol, her
husband, was a client of Damion, and also the maths and science teacher at
the convent school. This was perfect for receiving non-work related telex,
which was sackable, as were outgoing private telephone calls. The two telex
I saw, and I have them, had names of runners in tomorrows races, you were
left to sort which races and where. At least they were in alphabetical
order. There is a line of greeting, some news about an exciting new service,
a request to advise him of the name of your SP to enable him to formulate a
plunge, which occurs often, a reminder that subscription renewals must be
paid within the week they are advised, and that his decisions are final, for
everything it seems. Enough of that.

WHAT HE DID WAS THIS:

Runners who have competed within a time range, less than 36 days mostly, are
considered.
Runners who have the same jockey in a past run as they have today are
considered. This is flexible perhaps, a jockey who has history with the
horse is more correct. Sometimes his picks were not ridden by the jockey
from the immediate past, although the rider perhaps had ridden the thing.
The distance can be the same or similar although a Cup jockey got to ride
the horse in its return over 7 furlongs, and it was selected, and it won (he
says).
Weight carried can be similar.

What you got was the filtered runners out of say 100 at a meeting, and those
runners had the attributes mentioned.

His selections were from the metro races on a Saturday.

There are no statistics, and no betting recommendations.

Some examples:
Saturday Rosehill Race 10
3 Cuban Royal 3rd
5 Snitify 4th
6 Night of Power won
8 Ranges 2nd
Saturday Moonee Valley Race 9
4 Rock Tycoon 2nd $34
7 Rock in the Park 3rd $9.50
5 Melodeon Unp $23
Race 6
11 So You Assume won
12 Horse for Higher 2nd

Not every race has nominees
07/08/2021 Flemington
Race 8 Auries Star
2,5,7,8, - there are some other runners who are not
strictly selections, days since last start, rider last start not the rider
today but todays rider has won in the past. If they win, and I result these,
I'll be claiming them
Race 9
1,3,6,7,8,15 - I am unsure, I don't know, how Damion sorted these down to 3
candidates, days since last start?
Race 7
6,7,10 ,13,15,16,18
Race 6
6,7,10,

Deleted

Cheers

Tony.
