[AusRace] Yogis' Dads System - and mention of the pass that made us famous - a system nonetheless

Faulks (aka 'Yogi') was lucky this once. In a footy game I got tackled, a
regular occurrence actually, and speared, and between the tackling and the
spearing I passed off, alright I threw the ball away, towards the light, and
'Yogi'  took the pass and scored. It won us the game and it was all because
of wonderous me, unselfish me, that kid with the football brain. Yeah right.

'Yogi' and I had history. On the first day ever of school he was there, so
was Trish, although I don't remember too much, didn't see too much, because
of the crying. We, Trish, 'Yogi' and me came together, after a separation of
some years, in Grade 7, different school and town now until I went away in
the second term and never went back. Later, Trish and Yogi got married to
other people, then divorced, but before all of that 'Yogi' found me at the
races and joined the football club I frequented.

He was 'Yogi' because he called for the ball with a  loud 'hey,hey,hey'
which the cartoon character Yogi Bear uttered. 

Yogi's Dad had a system whereby you added then averaged the sp of runners in
a race. Those runners with low numbers, either adding or averaging, were the
picks to back. From its past form he added the last five, but averaged the
last three (perhaps it was adding the last five least sp values, and
averaging the last three least sp values. This seems to get you onto a
dividend more often). This provided him with two values, which he averaged
again and backed those showing 'overs' to the odds on offer in this race. It
did pick winners, or for Dad, it picked the runners to back for a place if
the place odds were suitable.

They (Dad and Faulks) snagged a big quadrella with these ($5000 for $5 when
it was 50c a ticket) one time
