Jockeys are declared some days before the actual race takes place. Things
happen between acceptances, declarations and the actual racing of the event.

This plan seeks to connect a last minute jockey switch as if that event is a
plus, the new jockey has attributes other jockeys do not. That's what it
says in the preamble.

Yesterday at Wang, race 3, Jockey Dean Holland rode Midnight Glow into a
place for $4.40. Jockey Holland was accepted as the jockey of a scratched
horse (taken out at 0119) and gained this placed ride as a result.
He, Holland, had ridden the horse in competitive races and was the jockey in
each of its run when it earnt money - an indicator element of yet another
system.

In race 8 Harry Coffey rode second pick $71 Son of. After his first acceptor
was scratched.Damian Thornton missed out, two entries with him as jockey,
both scratched.
In race 4 Hannah Edgley accepted on Nautico which was scratched at 1147,
then rode $54 Torolina as a pick up ride. There were more than 21 individual
riders, 16 in this race, and the set weight was 57.5 and Hannah got the job.

There were others, probably others governed by the system rules, but not so
lucky as Dean Holland etc.

Consider a bet when the jockey first acceptor is scratched (it says before
the race but that is obvious) and provided the rider helps the chance of the
runner. The system says use the win/place stats of all jockeys.

There are no stats to dazzle you. A database guru can help there, query (a)
a jockey change last/next and (b) jockey change on the day.

Anne and Tony wish all Ausracers and their family(s) a Merry Christmas

Cheers

Tony
