Mr Rule is a journalist and as such must have/would have/should have access
to information that we do not. This book seems to be a continuation of a
newspaper column and so it provides answers to questions it hasn't asked.

It seems he dislikes some persons associated with the racing caper. He may
well be the only journo who has ridden in a horse race, and won.

It is a good read though and it is recommended as such. Mine cost $9 second
hand (the benefit of volunteering for the CWA, Northerly) although the full
price is $34.99.

There are a few, quite a few, incidents detailed in the book whereby the
players are corrupt, or corrupted, in order to guarantee the winner of a
horse race.

Often racing tomes are like this, an association with the criminal side of
society when it seems it, racing society, is not like that at all. (Or am I
naïve?)

I might write a book and set the record straight.

Cheers

Tony
