Five years ago he won at Flemington at about 25/1. I was casually perusing
the Racing & Sports Workpages and noticed he came out on top, using their
ratings etc . Went out to dinner on the Friday night, drank far too much
and spent the next day in the foetal position. Woke up late in the day to
discover said Crafty had landed and I'd missed the damned race. Juvenile I
know but always kept one eye on him after that. Needless to say, I don't
think the opportunity ever arrived again.
