impression that there was only past form for runners in upcoming races.
Can you please confirm if is possible to search any runner / race result ?

Logically, it would be rain affected because of rain.
Now if he had asked "why was the track slow to dead", then other
possibilities come into play. Like someone leaving the tap on for
example.
I assumed thunderstorms 'cause I was in the area (Teesdale/Bannockburn)
for a few days the week before. It was hot and there were afternoon
thunderstorms.
